The care you deserve

I use a strength-based approach while integrating attachment theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, and trauma-focused therapy. I believe people are their own best advocates and have the power to lead their lives. I specialize in working with women and the LGBTQ+ community struggling with grief, trauma, major life transitions, and relationships.

About

We listen, act, and transform

Life can present challenges that sometimes feel overwhelming, leaving us feeling stuck or uncertain. I believe everyone has the strength to overcome these struggles, and I’m here to help you tap into that potential. My strength-based approach focuses on your innate abilities, values, and resilience to navigate life’s difficulties. I integrate elements of attachment theory, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and trauma-focused therapy to help you identify the patterns that may hinder your growth and discover the strengths that can help you move forward. I work with individuals to explore their unique needs, desires, and goals in an empowering and validating way. Together, we’ll build a deeper understanding of your experiences and create a path toward healing and personal growth. I aim to provide a safe, welcoming space where you can feel comfortable being yourself. I specialize in working with women and the LGBTQ+ community, particularly those struggling with grief, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel heard, supported, and, when appropriate, even find some lightness and humor along the way. If you're ready to explore your strengths and work through the challenges you’re facing, I’m here to walk with you on that journey. I use the Headway platform to take most of the insurances listed on my profile (except Carelon/Partnership and Medicare). Please create an account through Headway and contact me to schedule an appointment. I also use EAP's Modern Health, Lyra and Spring Health. Please email me at heatherjschwartz@mac.com.
